Duvet Day

Well nobody was full of energy today so we are staying at home, some still in their pjs.

J&C are doing some work on Bees mums 70th album we are doing one of those lovely SEI albums (allegedly you can do in 2 hours but are great for beginners none the less). Fiona is making Christmas presents and doing very well.

The Book Quiz

Well I tried the Book Quiz as referred to from That Ruddy Blog and I am not entirely sure I am happy with the results.

I was Compassion Fatigue!

I tried to copy the link but it didn't work for me, my technological ignorance again I am afraid

Successful Sunday

Well we enjoyed our car boot sale, only made £15 but also only spent £1 on 2 Mary Kate and Ashley DVDS so quite a success and we have recycled a load of stuff, so the bedroom is looking nicely bare as the pile of junk had previously been housed in the corner. I would definitely do another one next year, I am sure we still have stuff that should have gone. It is quite suprising what actually sells

Mini book

Here is a little mini book I have done following Ansos instructions, difficult to photograph unfortunately

Lazy Saturday

Well Fiona had a friend sleepover last night and Bee has gone to work so I am pottering around and doing a bit of scrapbooking. Here is a layout done which achieves a lot:-

8x8 for my little album of favourite photos also scrapped elsewhere

Serendipity squares (well letters) to help me catch up on stashscrappers team challenges

finish off pp from Scrapagogo October kit before my Cocoa Daisy November kit arrives (just the flowery piece left that will incorporate a lot of intricate cutting, enough said)

incorporates some doodling which I have not done enough of during my BPS doodling course

My first layout of November

Too cute to spook

Well we had a very full Halloween, the party Fiona went to was very full on and well organised, lots of games and even adults dressed up. They all got to go trick or treating together which was fun. fiona had an accident on the bouncy castle at the end that meant we beat a hasty retreat. We then joined Bee and went up to the Living Legend for Fright Night it was very spooky and they had a great ghost walk around a pitch black adventure golf with ghosts from the Jersey Youth theatre giving some suprise scares. Fiona wasn't too sure about it as you can see from the photos but she was very brave, a boy of about 12 who was in our group cried all the way around. We also have some divine pumpkin and lime butter with almond soup yum with a side of chips to keep Fiona happy.
Apologies i don't know how to rotate the photos.
Tomorrow I have very foolishly said Fiona can have a friend to sleepover so it will be matchsticks in the eyes on Saturday. Still they are excited at the thought of a film and some popcorn so hopefully they will be easily pleased.
On my drive home tonight I saw the first Christmas decorations in somebodys window, a little early for us yet, though we are having Christmas dinner early on 9th December due to us Christmassing in SA this year. Pretty much all my Christmas shopping is done.

Happy Halloween

Well here is a picture of our latest Pumpkin which I think is great. Got quite a busy Halloween this year going to a party then on to a ghost walk with a little bit of trick or treating in the middle. Hopefully the weather will remain as it is one of those beautiful crisp dry autumn days at the moment

Here are a couple more layouts yet again using Scrapagogo kit and Pencil Lines sketches the second one only has a couple of rub ons from the kit the rest is rouge de garance
I hope you all have a spooky good day.

Friday 26 October 2007

And that I believe is that I have really enjoyed working with the scrapagogo kit and am tempted to buy it every month but I know I shouldn't and that is all my scrap camp layouts uploaded too

Tearful day

Well completely humiliated myself by bursting into tears in my bosses office, so really glad the weekend is here, I am definitely going to get up to date with my uploads so here goes.

And on

And on more layouts still coming. Now for a layout I am not so sure about, but wasn't I cute, this will have to be redone as I like some of the elements, but I think the yellow doesn't work for me, I do like the bird though. Jersey Live I love this layout but it feels like such a cop out it is just a large photo on gorgous card with some inked chipboard letters. And finally school bus another layout done at Scrap camp using up some stash from Cleos class I think

Desperately trying to upload all my layouts, as I have had such a prolific month my team will hopefully be happy with my points for a change! Here is a layout inspired by the Autumn Leaves calendar I had lots of not so good photos of when we went camping they were ideal to cut down, simple but I like the effect. Then from Scraplift Sunday I scraplifted my own layout with pictures this time of Fiona's swimming lesson with her dad. Cheeky Girl a layout inspired by Jane Dean and Cleos Scrap Camp classes.

Wednesday 24 October 2007

Well here is another one I did with the Scrapagogo kit and a Pencil Lines sketch which I think works well, those rub ons are divine you practically can breath them on, unlike the cherry arts ones from Scrap Camp which I found very unreliable

On the left is one I did for Scraplift Sunday using some of the remains of my Jane Dean scrap camp kit, which I thought was brave of me as that is a lot more pattern than I am used to.

well I wanted to catch up and post some photos but my camera has just run out of juice so I have only uploaded one of the layouts from last night. We had an informal crop as we had 2 ukscrappers in our midst and I shamefacedly can't remember their names something like bertboy and pinkbaglady? Anyway 2 of us were scrapping the latest scrapagogo kit I almost finished 2 single layouts, I will try and post some other layouts later.

Also here is a picture taking the other day of a pumpkin bee cut which I think is fabulous we have bought another one to do next week too as the scream face has unfortunately decomposed now.

Been very busy

Long week

Still no photos I will try to load some up tonight.

It was a heavy weekend as I was still not feeling good, we had a good evening on Friday at Borsalino Rocque but I was very upset the big 4 0 balloons I had ordered didn't turn up, that is someone else to put on my boycot list

Saturday we skipped Swimming as we were all tired, but made the day crop, I wasn't very prolific took up until lunch time to make a birthday card for Bee but then managed a double layout a single layout and fixed one from Scrap Camp. I left early as people were coming to the flat from 4. We had a great night out everyone looked great, most of the boys wore wigs for some reason. sunday we just vegged out and ate cake.

Now I dragging myself through the week have a lot on which is a bit of a drag roll on Sunday

Feeling rubbish

I am full of cold, I do have some photos to upload from Sunday but I am not feeling up to it, I am achy and feel rubbish

Today was my first day with my new hours I put Fiona on the bus and cycled into town and managed to leave work on time and was cycling home on the coast road when I got a missed call then a text from Fiona. It all got very confused but when I got home I eventually found out Fiona had been waiting for me hadn't seen the right bus so got taken into town by a friends mum. So I then had to drive in and pick her up so I wasn't home particularly early. Fingers crossed it goes better tomorrow.

Scraplift Sunday

The challenge was to scraplift one of your favourite layouts I found one in my gallery faves of Scrapdolly this was the result

More doodling

Well BPS doodling class we were challenged to upload a layout with a flourish so here is one I knocked up it is quite simple but I liked the crispness of the colours and didn't want to spoil it. We all spent 10 minutes trying to work out how to work the self adhesive heidi swapp letters though lots of licking and peeling going on before I rang Susan to be advised they aren't all sticky.

Saturday 13 October 2007

Well inspired by Shimelles sketch challenge on the UK scrappers cyber crop that my sister kindly emailed me I have made this as a table mat for next weekend, hope Bee likes it.

Only 10 weeks till Christmas

Well a very successful day, after Fionas swimming she went to see Ratatouille with her cousins so we had a couple of free hours so we did our Christmas shopping (DS games) I ordered balloons for Bees 40th birthday got the finishing touches for our 60s/70s theme costumes for next Saturday and a couple of other bits and pieces and had brunch all in time to pick Fiona up at 12.40.

We then got the bus home all part of the training for her getting the bus next week when I start my new work hours.

We got home tidied and organised Fionas room well the childrens room filled with Fionas junk, it is a massive improvement.

I have been left on my own now as Bee has gone to pick up J&C and the 4 of them are going to see some of the ralley so I should really be getting organised for his big 4 0 next week I want to make placemats with photos I am thinking of doing a prototype scanning printing and laminating it, to include some facts about 1967, need to get going on it really.

Friday 12 October 2007

Ooh I am getting carried away here are some more layouts

Well I will try to post a few layouts I got the book for my doodle class last night, so I managed a quick layout, it is very simple but I was quite proud. I have also finished off Jane Deans layout from the transparency class, I got a bit fed up with rub ons by the end of it, and my patience with Cherry Arts was tested but I am happy with the result. Now JD has made me transparency crazy all I can think of is what I can do with them, she definitely got me thinking out of the box, thank you Jane. Lastly I have my Him layout from Kirsty Wisemans class

Talking of him Bee is making risotto then we are going to see some of the ralley so I had better get off the computer

Wey hey its only blooming Friday

And I have made the first step to becoming a blogger, I am all set up, I know its not fancy but I am a techno moron.

I will load up later some of the layouts that I did at Scrap Camp IV last weekend and some of the doodling class I have done even though I am very behind with that one
