Quirky kits

I started subscribing to quirky kits in the summer. I first tried an embellishment kit. Then in September I received my first main kit I merged it with the leftovers from my embellishment kit. The papers went too quickly for me. I loved the camera paper and had intended to use it slowly but as you see I used a huge chunk of it on this one layout. I therefore have had to order the close knit paper pack to get some more as I couldn't find it by the page. Which is a bit wasteful as there are some of the papers in the one sided version that I just don't see me using

This is my layout for mercy tiaras challenge. The secret journaling in the envelope explains how I had a bad day at work due to bullying but it all fades away when I start to work Ian my scrapbook room

Second photo from previous post

The daily grind

I am trying to get my box of unfinished layouts finished. Some I have to admit I have binned because I don't have the photos or the inspiration. Some I have packed up for our next crop. Here is a double layout that I have actually finished it is quite a hard process to remember where I was getting inspired when they are left so long.

Don't know if you can post more than one picture at a time on the iPhone?

Another layout from our recent trip to butlins for an eighties weekend. These photos were a result of an afternoon drinking pitchers of cocktails

No snow

I have been doing a lot of scrapbooking recently and have also started my monthly version of project life. I have to say that is taking a lot longer than I expected I have half started January and February. I am using snap line and old stash. I am trying to have some continuity between the months so on each month I intend to use hand sewing a flair groups of three eyelets and my summary on vellum and sewed on with the machine enclosing some confetti I will upload when I have finished one. In the meantime I will post some other recent layouts

February meet

I had a fabulous day at the crop
yesterday though technically it can no longer be called that since we now embrace all crafters (within reason). We had knitters card makers, pergamanoers and quilters. Today I am finishing off the layouts and will hopefully upload them. Here is the first using basic grey serenade line there was not a great deal to add. I fussy cutted the banner stamped with studio calico veneers ( idea stolen from cocoa daisy) and this morning added that little quickcutz Eiffel Tower that I knew was in my stash as Jenny cut me a batch a while back. Thank you Jenny it finished the layout perfectly

Krulkop engel

I managed to sneak another layout from scrapfriends.com.au for their sketch challenge I can honestly say this is the first festive layout where I struggled to find papers so I think I will be able to finally indulge in Christmas stash again next year!

I hope you like my layout I couldn't resist scrapbooking the Christmas card Fiona received with her half sister the sad angel as she looked so beautiful. The title is in Afrikaans as her half sister is Afrikaans

Christmas Eve

I am currently cleaning up my scrap room as it is also our spare room and we have guests tomorrow night. So I thought I would upload this layout I did for the colour challenge on scrap friends http://blog.scrapfriends.com.au/2012/12/yummyscrap-colour-palette-challenge-8.html?m=1

I think it needs a little splatter of paint but I don't have enough colours presently
